Well I had a little trouble with getting the focus and light just the way I wanted it on this one but managed to get a few decent shots. I need to work on shooting quicker. I missed a lot of butterfly shots because they moved out of my focal range too quickly.

I love this one of Lily because you can clearly see me in her eyes taking the photo.
This last shot is not the one I wanted to use. I had a much better, richer image but after uploading and inserting it no less than 10 times only to have it show up distorted and rotated, I gave up and choose another image.

This week, are assignment is to photograph reflections and/or shadows. Choose our top 5, no post processing editing allowed. This should be interesting. As always I have a number of ideas. It’s just a matter of whether or not I’ll get them done as I expect. Due August 17th.
We’ve added a month long assignment as well to photograph each letter of the alphabet. This one will prove to be a challenge but one I look forward to completing. Due September 17th.

I’ll admit that I had ideas for the color assignment but ran out of time to go find the “objects” I had in mind. Also admittedly the lizard pic and the pears I took last week while I was looking to take my motion pics. I’m including them because in all reality I took them specifically because of their color.
David has a collection of old glass insulators and I thought they would be interesting to photograph.
I did some inside and some outside. It’s amazing the difference in the colors.

This week’s assignment is all about color. We are to pick a color (any color) and shoot things that fall into that color. Post top 5 shots.
I have lots of ideas on this one, weather permitting. Stay tuned.

I didn’t have any great ideas for shooting the capture of motion, so I went with what was always around me (Lily the flying dog). I did take one of a water feature at a local mall, but nothing notable there. (I’ll work on adding the settings tomorrow probably.)
And the rest of the story….
I miss timed Lily’s jump on this one but ended up with ball.
This one isn’t a great “capture” picture, but if you look in the lower left corner you’ll see a smiley face in the water drops.
